Mixed Reactions to Violence

**rambling comments

Yesterday there was a bombing in Colorado at the NAACP.  It got little news coverage.  Today there was an attack in Paris at Charlie Hebdo, carried out by Muslim terrorists and that attack quickly became the top news headline around the world.  We are always outraged when we are attacked, but there is little acknowledgement of the violence we cause abroad, and don't understand why we are attacked in return.  They don't hate us for our freedom, they hate our foreign policy of war and supporting their dictators.  We ignore when they condemn violence.  On Twitter already there are calls to #KillAllMuslims, which is trending right along with #JeSuisCharlie.

I have a list on Twitter of those discussing the real Islam here.

And other violence gets completely ignored, like Chile and Mexico (which always reminds me of the slogan from last summer's war in Gaza)
